    These "bands" you mentioned must have been "popular" during the early 50's I "believe ",... you must have been in elementary school at the time ,maybe , even in diapers. !!!... these bands were around Long BEFORE "Elvis Presley " hit the scene..... Rock & Roll wasn't even "invented "....you'd have to be old as "Bobby" DeNero..!!! ,...Note; he's STILL. !!! "Making Babies " @ His Age !!!

    netsfan3 The Platters had monster hits such as ONLY YOU, THE GREAT PRETENDER, etc. from the middle 50's to the middle 60's. Johnny Maestro had hits in 5 decades and was big in the nightclub scene in the 70's until he passed away. Dion and the Belmonts Greatest hits were prior to the Beatles era of bubble gum music, such as I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND.
